Remove the foam using a clean towel that’s been moistened in clean water and wrung dry. Rinse and wring the towel. Dry the piece by moving the air in the room with fans and opening the windows. Do not use a hair dryer or anything that will apply warmth to the area. The fabric wants to wash at the exact same pace.
With any of these techniques, be sure to test an inconspicuous area first (like underneath a cushion, or around back side of this skirt) to make sure colors won’t bleed or fade.
