Green Carpets Cleaning

Mattress Cleaning in San Mateo — The majority of us spend about a third of our lives. But if you should think about all the germs, bacteria and even critters (yuck!) That make themselves at home in your mattress, chances are you would not get much sleep. We wash our sheets reliably every week (mom would be so pleased ), and we all know that we should turn and flip our mattresses every few weeks to make them last longer (“should” is the operative word here), but can it be feasible to disinfect your mattress?
The longer version: With just a little effort, you are able to pierce the surface of your mattress. The interiors are a different story, if you don’t happen to gain access to an industrial-style steam cleaner along with a sterile containment unit. But we have all endured sleeping this long, right?
If possible, clean your mattress outside on a sunny, not-too-humid day. (There is a reason we have spring cleaning and autumn cleaning instead of winter cleaning and summer cleaning!) The sun will help your mattress dry as you clean ityet, it acts as a diuretic, helping you kill germs with a good dose of UV rays. Lean your mattress against the wall in the front of a window and the best choice is to clear some space in your room if you can’t get outside.
Begin with removing as much dust as possible (and maybe a couple of dust mites, even if you’re lucky) by moving over the whole surface of the mattress with your vacuum cleaner’s upholstery attachment and crevice tool. If your mattress-cleaning spree was inspired by a new spill injury or bedwetting occasion, use clean towels to soak up as much liquid as possible until you vacuum.
There are a few methods you can use to disinfect your mattress once you’ve eliminated the dust. Running a garment steamer or alternative hand-held steam cleaner across the surface will help kill germs and dust mites, and a spoonful of baking soda will help freshen the upholstery and remove mild scents (let it sit a few minutes, then vacuum). However, to kill bacteria, you ought to use a disinfectant solution of some kind.
Go for alternative or an antibacterial spray with a scent you prefer, and avoid using bleach — it’s good at killing germs, but it is too unpleasant for the fabric covering on mattresses. Should you use a liquid cleaner, dilute it with warm water in accordance with the instructions on the label, dip a clean rag to the solution, and then — this part is essential — wring the rag out thoroughly so it’s just barely damp. The target is to clean the surface of the mattress without letting it get soaked with moisture, which can lead to mold or mould. For disinfectant sprays, then spritz lightly across the surface of the mattress, then wipe with a clean rag that has been dipped in warm water and thoroughly wrung out. Be sure to give your mattress plenty of time to wash — a couple of hours on each side is greatest. Cover it with a freshly cleaned mattress pad, sheets and bedding and enjoy a good night’s sleep!
