4 Products for Enhancing Air Flow in Dryer Vents

Dryer Vent Cleaning in Manhattan Beach — And not only can it be caked with lint, note the lint is soaking wet. It’s moist because all that water which came from the wet laundry had to go someplace, and for this drier, it was not making it all the way outside. In fact, it was so wet that water had been dripping from the duct in the joints, getting to the wood and the back of the drywall, where it was beginning to grow things.

What? You state you’d like to visit a close-up perspective of the inside of that duct? Well, OK, but don’t say I did not warn you.

With this wall cap, the atmosphere comes out and exits upward. The strain of the exiting atmosphere is good enough (with a nicely installed duct and dryer link ) it levitates the plastic cap, which I am holding in the right-most photograph above. It’s not immune to issues (no item is), but if several home energy pros all mention the same solution, that is the one which I wish to use in my house. And, at $18 from Energy Federation (one of my favorite sources for great home energy things ), it’s a fantastic deal, also.

Dryer Connection. Ed Voytovich of Building Efficiency Resources in upstate New York (and among the funniest house energy pros I understand ) was the first one to mention the Heartland wall cap, and he also gave me the exact link for the Dryerbox, a better way to connect the dryer to the main duct.

High Stress Monitor. Ed also said another product that I will be purchasing to put in in my house – that the LintAlert. If you visit their site, make sure that you examine their page named Why You Need One and scroll all the way into the bottom to determine what the a dryer fire can do to your property.

Of course, when you really wish to conserve energy and reduce the probability of a fire, the ideal product is only a couple bucks and dries your garments with solar energy – a clothing line!
